Series consists of records created by the Office of the Archivist of Ontario and its Policy Unit, primarily related to policy project and issues. Series also document some non-policy issues handled by the Office of the Archivist. Subjects covered by these records include: internal Archives of Ontario's management and policy; archival practices; services to the Government of Ontario and the general public; legislation regarding the Archives; facilities planning; archival acquisitions and acquisition strategies; recorded information management within the Government of Ontario; the Ontario and Canadian archival systems; assistance to archvies throughout Ontario; heritage and cultural policy. Series includes correspondence with Ontario government officials, offcials within other jurisdictions, other archival institutions and organizations, and the general public; memoranda; reports; agendas and minutes of committees (both internal and external); briefing notes; estimate submissions; budget documentation; delegations of authority; and copies of certification forms for reproductions certified by the Archivist of Ontario as true copies of original documents held by the Archives.
